In a few days, the blog will be led by the Rev. Trisha Miller Manarin. A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Trinity Baptist Church of Philadelphia ordained her to the Gospel Ministry. Trisha is a graduate of Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Samford University with a degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance. (You should hear that soprano voice!) She also completed a basic unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Trisha has served churches, associations, and state conventions in Indiana, Alabama, and Pennsylvania. She began her ministry at McLean Baptist, McLean, Virginia, in May 2005 as Associate Pastor with responsibilities for the adult ministries. She has also had the privilege of serving in Africa and Asia and while living in Zambia several years ago, Trisha met her husband Tim, also an ordained minister, and Virginia native.
Tim has recently completed received his PhD in African History from Indiana University and he and Trisha have children Peter, Nathaniel, and Maggie. Family is a great source of joy for Trisha!
With a great passion for the local church, Trisha enjoys seeing lives transformed by the power of God and joining people on the journey while being on mission together. She leads her local church in transforming mission experiences, and in culturally sensitive training for mission experiences.
