To the ends of the earth... even next door

The world is much smaller than it was even a generation ago. One can fly from Johanesburg to Washington in a day; from London to Calcutta and still have time remaining to do a few things. In many places, you might have someone living to your left from South America while to your right someone from Australia, across the street a Buddhist and down the road a Muslim. Truly the world has come to many communities and the "shrinking" of the globe poses some new issues for global Christians. How does this change your congregation's approach to missions? Does it influence how you send or support mission efforts? What does Acts 1:8 mean for the local congregation in this sort of global environment? "...you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." How does your congregation share the Good News with those nextdoor as well as around the world?
